The Deck Cafe & Bar perches on the hillside right above the Jungutbatu beach boardwalk, part of Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Spa. From its tiered terraces you can watch fishing boats come home, seaweed farms shift with the tide and the silhouette of Mount Agung across the strait — a combination that makes it one of the most sought-after sunset spots on Nusa Lembongan.
Dishes you have to order
- Wood-fired pizza — the dough and all the bread are baked fresh daily in the Batu Karang kitchen, around IDR 90,000–150,000.
- Burgers — the buns are house-baked too, around IDR 90,000–150,000.
- Ahi Tuna Poké Bowl — the freshest choice for lunch, around IDR 100,000–150,000.
- Fish tacos & Chicken Shish Tawouk — sharing plates that pair perfectly with happy hour.
- Hummus with flatbread — a light snack around IDR 60,000–90,000; much of the produce comes from the resort's hydroponic garden.
- Parad-Ice Parlour gelato — the gelato stand on site, the obligatory finish once the sun is down.
- Cocktails such as Comfortably Numb and Paradise Poison, around IDR 95,000–160,000.
Sunset time, happy hour and getting there
Sunset on Lembongan falls around 6.00–6.30pm year-round, so arrive by 5pm if you want a front-row table. Happy hour runs 5.00–6.30pm daily with 25% off selected cocktails — exactly overlapping golden hour. Between July and October there are usually Sunday Sounds DJ sessions on Sunday afternoons.
From Jungutbatu you can walk: climb the stairs from the beach and follow the boardwalk toward the hillside. From Mushroom Bay it is about 8–12 minutes by scooter or small car, and the resort offers a free pick-up service after 5pm. One important note: The Deck is a cashless venue, so bring a card or digital payment.
