Menjangan Island is a small uninhabited island off the coast of Pemuteran, North-West Bali, within West Bali National Park (Taman Nasional Bali Barat / TNBB). The island is famous as one of the best snorkeling and diving spots in Bali thanks to its spectacular wall diving (vertical coral walls), healthy coral reefs, and remarkably clear seawater. To reach it, visitors cross by boat from Labuhan Lalang pier, roughly a 30–45 minute sail.
What You Can Enjoy
The underwater world is the main draw, with often-clear visibility and rich marine life.
- Wall diving along coral cliffs full of soft coral and gorgonians
- Snorkeling in shallow waters with colorful fish
- A quiet small beach and a little temple on the island
- Occasional sightings of deer (menjangan), the island's namesake
How to Get There & Important Notes
The trip starts from Labuhan Lalang. Visitors pay the national park entry fee and charter a boat (shared per group). Snorkeling and diving are best booked through an operator or dive center in the Pemuteran area, which provides equipment and experienced guides.
