Sudamala Resort Ubud Opens in October 2026 on Jalan Suweta

Sudamala Resort, Ubud is due to welcome its first guests in October 2026 at Jl. Suweta No.88, about five minutes from Puri Saren Agung. The Melaspas ceremony to purify the buildings was held on 29 July 2026, and reservations are open through the official site, sudamalaresorts.com. As of 6 October 2026 no exact opening date has been announced.

What is inside

• 46 units: suites and villas facing a river valley. The official site lists the Ayung Deluxe Suite, Ayung Panoramic Suite, Petanu Garden Suite, Campuhan Garden Suite, Campuhan Panoramic Suite and Subak Villa; press material mentions villas with private pools.
• Tambus Restaurant: Indonesian cooking over charcoal, named after a traditional cooking method.
• Tirta Bar and Tepian Bar, both overlooking the valley.
• Sudajiva Spa, with garden treatment suites and private showers.
• An organic garden supplying the kitchen, according to the opening release.

What it means for you

This is the Sudamala group's first highland resort, after Sanur, Amed, Senggigi, Komodo and Seraya. At 46 units it is far smaller than the big resorts in Sayan or Payangan, and the location is within walking distance of central Ubud. If you want evenings in town without taking a car every time you go out, that matters.

Some things cannot be judged yet. Public rates are not listed, there are no guest reviews, and new hotels usually spend their first months ironing out service. Roads around central Ubud are also congested in the afternoon, so allow for an airport transfer that can exceed 90 minutes at busy times.
