Pemuteran Bay Festival 2026 is free and takes place in Pemuteran village, Gerokgak district, Buleleng, but the dates do not match yet: the Bali Provincial Tourism Office lists 6-8 November 2026, 08:30-16:30 WITA, while the national ministry's Indonesia.travel page says 26-28 November 2026. If you need to book transport and a room now, choose changeable fares or wait for the organisers to confirm.

Which one is more official? Both are government sites. The Disparda page is more detailed because it gives hours, and it is run by the provincial office of the island hosting the event. The 26-28 November version comes from the national portal and feeds the most recent news coverage. The organisers have not yet resolved the gap, so treat both as possible. We will update this article once the date is locked.

What happens at the festival

The festival celebrates Pemuteran's community ecotourism; the village is known for its Biorock coral restoration. The official site lists past programmes: cultural and music performances, a traditional fishing contest, a nature fun run, a Biorock workshop with new reef structures lowered into the bay, a food bazaar, yoga by the bay, kids' activities, an arttrash workshop, a photo hunt, a beach clean-up and eco enzyme sessions. For 2026, Indonesia.travel mentions music, local food, yoga, talk shows and coral conservation workshops. No day-by-day rundown has been published.

Before you go

• Do not lock your trip to one set of dates. Plan Pemuteran as part of a north Bali trip that still works if the festival moves.
• It is far from south Bali. Pemuteran sits on the main Singaraja-Gilimanuk road. From Ngurah Rai Airport the drive usually takes 4-5 hours, from Lovina about 1 hour, from Gilimanuk port under 1 hour. Public transport is impractical, so hire a car with driver or a scooter.
• Parking. No parking areas have been announced. Village roads are narrow, so arrive before 09:00 if the Disparda dates hold.
• It is a daytime event. Disparda lists 08:30-16:30 WITA. Bring a hat, water and reef-safe sunscreen; the beach gets hot.
• Etiquette. For dance performances or an opening with ceremony, wear modest clothes covering your shoulders, do not step over offerings, and do not use flash on dancers. In the water, never stand on or touch coral or the Biorock frames.
• Payment. Carry small cash notes for village bazaar stalls as well as QRIS.

Where to stay

The drive from the south eats half a day, so plan at least one night in Pemuteran, or two if you want to snorkel Menjangan Island too. FAQ

Is Pemuteran Bay Festival 2026 paid? No. Indonesia.travel and Viva Wisata (20 October 2026) both say entry is free. Some activities, such as the fun run or fishing contest, may need separate registration.

So is it 6-8 or 26-28 November? Not settled as of 21 October 2026. Disparda Bali says 6-8 November, the ministry says 26-28 November. Check again a week before you travel.

Is it good for kids? Yes. Past editions included kids' learning activities and a beach clean-up, and the programme runs in daytime on a beach with fairly calm water.
