Warung Lu Putu on Jl. Mendira No. 9, Sengkidu, is open daily 11:00-21:00 according to its official site, and the dish reviewers mention most is the crispy half duck, about Rp95,000 per a December 2025 Google review. New reviews kept coming through June 2026, so this Balinese family restaurant is still running.
1. From the street it doesn't look like a restaurant
The front door is plain, like a house, and one reviewer said the sign could use a fresh coat of paint. You walk through a corridor before reaching a garden with koi ponds and lamp-lit tables. Don't turn back thinking you have the wrong address.
2. Free pick-up around Candidasa
The official site offers free pick-up and drop-off from accommodation in the Candidasa area. Several 2025-2026 reviews say the driver came quickly even at short notice. Message the WhatsApp number listed on the site before mealtime.
3. Order the duck, but don't arrive starving
Signature dishes per the site: crispy duck (steamed in Balinese spices, then fried, with rice and water spinach in tomato sauce), grilled pork ribs, sweet-and-sour gourami and a grilled seafood basket. A February 2026 reviewer waited over 30 minutes for mains and nearly 20 for ice cream, even though the place was quiet. Order drinks and a starter first.
4. Prices aren't on the website
The menu page on the site showed no prices when checked in October 2026. Apart from the duck at around Rp95,000, expect tourist-restaurant prices rather than local-warung ones. A June 2026 review also called the ribs too fatty. Ask whether prices include tax; we explain it in our piece on ++ restaurant bills in Bali.
5. Save room for gelato
They make their own gelato and sorbet, with flavours like mango, coconut, cinnamon, banana and peanut butter. Some reviewers came back the next day just for it. The dadar gulung (pandan crêpe with coconut) also gets praise.
6. Delivery exists, with limits
Delivery and takeaway cover only the Candidasa and Manggis area, in about 30-90 minutes, with a shorter menu than dine-in. Order through the form on the site or by WhatsApp.
7. Quiet, not a party spot
The mood is slow and suits a dinner for two, less so if you want music and a crowd. Not everyone is won over: a 2-star review from March 2025 said the room felt like a canteen and service was slow. The site says major credit cards are accepted.
