Umana Bali, LXR Hotels & Resorts is a 72-villa resort on the Ungasan cliffs, directly above Melasti Beach. Every villa has its own infinity pool and hot tub, and as of September 2026 rates start at roughly USD 590-730 a night (about IDR 9.5-12 million) depending on dates. Owned by PT Surya Semesta Internusa and managed by Hilton, it took its current name in November 2023, replacing Jumana Bali Ungasan Resort. It is the first LXR property in Southeast Asia.
Villa types
- One-Bedroom Panoramic Ocean Pool Villa: from 403 sqm with a pool of about 10 metres and ocean views. The usual choice for couples.
- Two-Bedroom Tropical Garden Pool Villa: garden-facing, for small families or two couples.
- Three-Bedroom Umana Pool Villa: around 1,200 sqm with its own spa and entertainment rooms.
All villas have an outdoor hot tub, a large bathtub, and indoor and outdoor showers. The layout steps down the slope like rice terraces, so some villas sit well below or above the lobby; buggies are on call.
Dining, spa and the beach
- Commune: buffet breakfast plus à la carte, then Southeast Asian dishes through the day.
- Oliverra: Mediterranean dinners facing the ocean.
- Pad Pool Bar and Mer Lounge: cocktails, snacks and a wine cellar for tastings.
- Uma Beach House: the resort's beach club on Melasti Beach. Guests take a shuttle or walk down the stairs after telling staff; loungers and umbrellas are free for guests. More in our Uma Beach House review.
- The Lohma Spa, gym, yoga, sauna, kids' club and a clifftop wedding chapel.
On in-resort prices, The Points Guy's review recorded cocktails at USD 11-16 (about IDR 180-260k), mains at USD 14-29, and a 90-minute facial at USD 153. The same review notes that base room rates include breakfast, so the biggest extra spend is usually dinner and drinks.
Drawbacks you should know
- It sits at the southern tip of the Bukit and feels remote. Without a scooter or ride-hailing app you're essentially confined to the resort and beach club; beachfront restaurants in Jimbaran are 25-30 minutes away.
- Wild monkeys visit often. Some reviews say villa doors had to stay shut, which takes the edge off the indoor-outdoor design.
- Melasti Beach below gets busy with tour buses in the middle of the day.
- The site is hilly with lots of steps, so it's not ideal for anyone with limited mobility unless you rely on buggies.
- One review noted that the promised personal "curator" never made contact during a three-night stay.
Getting there and booking
- Location: Jl. Melasti, Banjar Kelod, Ungasan. View on Google Maps
- From the airport: about 23 km, 30-60 minutes depending on traffic on Jalan Uluwatu. The resort arranges car transfers on request.
- Booking: via Hilton's website (Hilton Honors members can use points, from about 90,000 a night according to The Points Guy), or book a stay voucher on AccessiaPass if available for your dates.

If sunsets and the sea are the point of your trip, book a Panoramic Ocean villa; the garden villas cost less but their sea views are limited.
