Bukit Belong Sidemen is one of the rising-star viewpoints in the Sidemen valley, Karangasem Regency, in east Bali. From the top of this grassy hill you can take in the sweeping green layered rice terraces, flowing rivers, and the majestic silhouette of Mount Agung in the distance. The atmosphere is far quieter and more natural than crowded tourist areas, making it a soothing alternative to Ubud.
Why It Is Special
Sidemen is known as one of the greenest regions in Bali, and Bukit Belong offers the best vantage point to enjoy it. At sunrise, a thin mist often blankets the valley while the sun slowly lights up Mount Agung — a moment sought after by photographers and peace-seekers alike.
