Baker Butcher Barista Ubud: Hours, Menu and Steak by the Gram

Baker Butcher Barista (B3) Ubud has been open since May 2026 inside Alaya Suites Ubud, Jl. Raya Pengosekan No.108. It is the first Bali outpost of a Jakarta brand owned by MDA Restaurants. Femina and NOW! Bali reported the opening on 19-20 May 2026, and diners have been posting photos of the food since mid-May.

Where exactly is B3 Ubud?

Inside the Alaya Suites Ubud hotel in Pengosekan, about 1-2 km south of the Monkey Forest. Do not confuse it with Alaya Resort Ubud on Jl. Hanoman (home of Dala Spa): same hotel group, different building. Some early news said "Alaya Resort", but the official Alaya Hotels page says Alaya Suites.

What are the opening hours?

Online listings say 10am-10:30pm daily, while NOW! Bali only says "from morning until late". The official Alaya page gives no hours, so confirm via the WhatsApp button there before coming for breakfast.

What is on the menu?

• From Jakarta: Corny Bennie, Crab Toast, Pastrami Sandwich, B.Mw.-Cang, Soto Tangkar, Tonkotsu Mala Ramen, Pork Scallopini.
• Pastry: Tjempedak Croissant, Kenari Croissant, CocoMochi; Bali-only are the B.E.K (bulgogi, kimchi and an onsen egg in pastry) and the Garlic Bomb (a garlicky croissant knot).
• Vegetarian: Watermelon Salad, Spiced Pumpkin Tabbouleh, Tempeh Club, Not Your Gado².
• Drinks: house-roasted coffee, Teh Botol Latte, Dji Sam Susu, Black Calamansi, matcha.

On prices: as of September 2026 no official price list has been published online, not on the Alaya site, MDA Restaurants or in media coverage. We will not guess; ask for the menu on WhatsApp or check the Instagram highlights at @b3.ubud.

Can you buy raw meat, or is it dine-in only?

What is confirmed: the concept borrows from a butcher's shop. You choose premium cuts sold by the gram and the kitchen grills them for a separate cooking fee (official Alaya page). Steaks are aged with the techniques of Aged & Butchered, the group's steak brand. Whether you can take raw meat home as groceries is not stated anywhere; ask first.

Who might not like it?

The menu includes pork (Pork Scallopini, tonkotsu ramen), so it is not an option if you need halal food. With no price list, travellers on a tight budget cannot plan ahead. Jl. Raya Pengosekan is also narrow and busy by day, and roadside car parking is hard to find.
