Sate Kambing Ibu Safiah, Klungkung: Goat Satay at IDR 3,000 a Stick

Goat satay at Ibu Safiah's costs IDR 3,000 a stick, and a full set of satay, goat curry, rice and a drink is IDR 50,000. This family stall at Pasar Senggol in central Semarapura has been running since the 1970s and opens from 06:00 until about 21:00, according to a detikBali report from 22 August 2026 (checked October 2026). Before you go

• Come before or after lunch. The report says the seats are almost never empty at midday. Early morning after 06:00 or late afternoon is easier.
• The goats are handled in-house. The family buys, slaughters and cooks the goats themselves; on busy days they go through 7-8 goats, around 3,000-4,000 sticks.
• It's not only satay. There's goat curry (gulai) and goat lawar, but their prices weren't reported, so ask before ordering.
• The IDR 50,000 set isn't village-warung cheap. If you just want a taste, order a few sticks first.
• Halal status isn't stated. If it matters to you, ask the family directly.
• Closed only on major holidays. Otherwise it opens daily.

• Pasar Senggol, Semarapura, near the Puputan Klungkung Monument. No street name was given, so use a Google Maps search and ask nearby vendors if needed.
