Bali Nightlife Guide 2026: Canggu, Seminyak, Kuta & Uluwatu — Venues, Prices, Dress Codes & Getting Home Safely

Bali’s nightlife is spread across areas with very different characters: laid-back yet lively Canggu, stylish Seminyak, Kuta–Legian partying until dawn, and Uluwatu’s clifftop parties above the ocean. The rhythm: sunset around 6–7pm (beach clubs at their busiest), peak 10pm–2am; beach clubs usually wind down around midnight, while Kuta–Legian clubs can run until 4–5am. The venues below are verified as operating in 2026; prices and schedules change, so check each venue’s official Instagram before you go.

Canggu & Berawa

  • FINNS Beach Club — adults-only party beach club on Berawa Beach; opens 11am, busy from sunset; free entry, premium seating minimum spend from about IDR 2.5 million. Maps
  • Atlas Beach Club — a giant beach club plus a Super Club with international DJs; midday to midnight; daybeds from about IDR 2.6 million (before 3pm), more after that. Maps
  • La Brisa — bohemian beach club built from reclaimed fishing-boat timber on Echo Beach; a sunset favourite (booking required at sunset); premium seating minimum spend from about IDR 700,000. Maps
  • Old Man’s — legendary Batu Bolong surf bar with a different theme every night (Wednesday beer pong); open 12pm till late, with friendly drink prices. Maps

Want something more intimate — or later? Try the speakeasy The Mailroom in Berawa (7pm–2am, cocktails from about IDR 150,000) or Vault, a Berlin-style underground club on Jl. Pantai Berawa (techno to hip-hop; open Monday and Wednesday–Saturday, per Honeycombers 2026) Maps. About 20–30 minutes west, LUNA Beach Club at Nuanu, Beraban (Tabanan) offers clifftop sunsets; entry to the Nuanu area is IDR 50,000 per adult.

Seminyak & Petitenget

  • Potato Head Beach Club — zero-waste sunset icon; 10am–midnight; free outside sunset hours, with a ticket/minimum spend of about IDR 200,000–250,000 from roughly 4pm to 7pm. Maps
  • KU DE TA — the pioneering beach club on Jl. Kayu Aya; 8am–midnight; free entry, daybeds about IDR 2 million++. Maps
  • La Favela — vintage jungle-themed restaurant-club on Jl. Laksmana (Oberoi); opens 7pm, and the dance floor heats up after 11pm. Maps
  • The Iron Fairies — industrial fairytale-themed club with live bands and DJs; daily from 7pm. Maps

Alternatives: Mirror Lounge & Club (Wednesday–Sunday from 10pm), ShiShi (izakaya downstairs, club upstairs — dress to impress), plus the quieter speakeasies Aoku (2nd floor of Dahana, Jl. Petitenget 98Z; Monday–Saturday 7pm–1am) and District 1 (above Bo & Bun, Basangkasa; 5.30pm–1am).

Kuta & Legian

  • Sky Garden — multi-level club complex at Jl. Legian No. 60; operates 9pm–5am; entry fees vary (early-hour promos or free entry for dinner guests are common) — check Instagram. Maps
  • Engine Room — three-storey Legian superclub (hip-hop, EDM, chart hits), open seven nights a week until the early hours; weekends are packed by midnight. Maps
  • Hard Rock Cafe Bali — Top 40 live bands every night facing Kuta Beach, usually from 9pm (10pm at weekends); no entry fee. Maps

Uluwatu & the Bukit

  • Savaya — clifftop superclub on Jl. Belimbing Sari; strictly 21+ with photo ID; regular tickets about IDR 300,000 (big events cost more; buy only via the official Megatix channel); open late on Fridays and Saturdays. Maps
  • Single Fin — clifftop bar above Suluban Beach; DJs from the afternoon and the legendary Sunday Session; free entry. Maps
  • Sundays Beach Club — a beach club right on the sand, reached by inclinator; walk-in about IDR 800,000 per adult including IDR 500,000 food and drink credit. Maps
  • Club Corazon — two-storey dance club with a retractable roof behind Tacos Aqui (Jl. Labuansait 69); open several nights a week (usually Tuesday, Friday and Saturday) from about 11pm. Maps

Also worth it: White Rock Beach Club on Melasti Beach (premium seating minimum spend about IDR 1 million), Hatch (a different theme every night, from 5pm) and Gabet’s Pub (live bands every night). In Nusa Dua, Manarai Beach House (ISMAYA, in front of Sofitel) offers relaxed sunsets with no entry fee.

Ubud & Sanur: Low-Key Nights

  • Laughing Buddha Bar (Monkey Forest Road, Ubud) — live music most nights around 20:00–23:00, and tables fill up quickly.
  • CP Lounge (Ubud) — live bands and DJs, one of the few places in Ubud that stays open latest.
  • Casablanca (Sanur) — live bands from around 21:00, loud volume, and a mixed crowd of locals and expats.
  • Tree Bar at Maya Sanur — quiet beachfront cocktails, the pick if you want to have a conversation rather than shout.

Dress Code, Age & Costs

  • Dress code: smart casual. Swimwear is for daytime beach clubs only; nightclubs usually turn away singlets, sportswear and flip-flops.
  • Age: Indonesia’s legal drinking age is 21. Bring your original passport/ID; some venues accept a photocopy, but Savaya requires valid photo ID.
  • Tax & service: “++” means prices exclude tax (about 10–11%) and service charge — the total can rise by up to about 21%.
  • Saving money: use happy hours, split daybed minimum spends within your group (the minimum spend is food and drink credit), and buy event tickets online early.

Getting Home Safely

  • Use Grab, Gojek or official Bluebird taxis; in Uluwatu, book early because cars can be scarce after midnight.
  • Never drive a car or ride a scooter after drinking.
  • Watch your drink and don’t accept drinks from strangers.
  • Avoid bootleg arak and cheap unbranded spirits — methanol poisoning cases have affected tourists. Drink only at licensed venues.
  • Indonesia’s drug laws are extremely severe, including long prison sentences; refuse any offer.
  • Save your hotel’s name, address and phone number on your phone and on paper.
  • Keep your phone and wallet in a bag held against your body; crowded areas like Jl. Legian see frequent losses.
  • Grab and Gojek work well across South Bali, but there are app pickup restriction zones in central Ubud, the Bukit or Uluwatu area, and parts of Canggu. Order from a main pickup point or ask venue staff to show you where it is.
  • Typical car fares: Canggu–Seminyak around Rp50,000–90,000, Seminyak–Kuta Rp30,000–60,000, Seminyak–Uluwatu Rp150,000–250,000. From the airport: Kuta around Rp120,000, Seminyak Rp100,000–150,000, Canggu Rp150,000–250,000. Fares rise in rain and at busy hours.
  • Night charter drivers are usually negotiated up front, in the region of Rp500,000–800,000; agree on your return time from the start.

The secret to a great night out is a short trip home. Choose a hotel close to your favourite nightlife area — Berawa, Seminyak, Legian or Pecatu — then compare and book an AccessiaPass hotel voucher, so you’re back in your room in minutes, not hours.
