Oaken Stillroom Ubud: Botanical Drinks Bar in Sanggingan

Oaken Stillroom, a botanical drinks and small-plates bar inside the Oaken Lab perfume store on Jl. Raya Sanggingan, Ubud, is open daily from noon to 8pm. It made Bali Food and Travel's new-restaurants list for August 2026, but it has actually been running since May 2026, according to coverage by NOW! Bali (5 May) and Harper's Bazaar Indonesia (29 May).

What is new

Oaken Lab is a Jakarta fragrance brand run by Christopher Kerrigan and Cynthia Wirjono. Its Ubud store occupies a former Japanese restaurant reworked by Rantara Studio: a dark fragrance room, a glass passage, then a bright communal room with one long table facing the garden. Two old shrines still stand in the yard. The Stillroom is its food and drink side, created with the Elemental bar team.

What to order

• Eight taps: cold brew from Ubud roaster Everhaos, kombucha from neighbour Room4Dessert, Kult craft beer, plus botanical and zero-proof cocktails. Harper's Bazaar names the Savory Woodlands and Misty Pandan Grove cocktails.
• Small plates: burrata with herbs and pumpkin seeds, smoked ham tartine, fennel and pomelo salad, charcuterie, and coconut gelato with juruh palm syrup.

The official Stillroom page now leans on alcohol-free drinks, so if you are coming for a spirit-based cocktail, ask about that day's menu.

Prices and caveats

As of September 2026 there is no official price list online; ask on WhatsApp +62 812 1100 5226 (the number on the Oaken Lab website). The drawbacks are clear: it closes at 8pm, so this is an afternoon stop, not a night out. Seating is at a shared table, which does not suit a private dinner for two. For drinks after dark, Night Rooster stays open late, and the Neka Art Museum is on the same road if you come by day.
