Estia Seminyak: Wood-Fired Greek Food, Prices and Hours

Estia on Jl. Kayu Cendana, Seminyak, cooks Athens street food over a wood fire: skewers at IDR 80-160k, pork gyros at IDR 200k that is only ready from 5pm, and spreads with pita from IDR 65k, according to its official menu (checked October 2026). NOW! Bali called this 8 Degrees Projects restaurant brand new in November 2025, and it is still on Honeycombers' Hot New Tables list for October 2026.

What to order

Start with two spreads, say taramasalata at IDR 100k and whipped feta at IDR 75k, with whole wheat pita at IDR 25k. From the grill: lamb skewers IDR 160k, pork neck skewer IDR 120k, or half a wood-roasted chicken IDR 190k. For something saucier, prawn saganaki with ouzo at IDR 250k or beef cheek pastitsio ("Greek lasagna") at IDR 170k. Finish with loukoumades, Greek doughnuts with honey, at IDR 70k.

Cocktails cost IDR 130-150k, Bintang IDR 60k, wine by the glass from IDR 130k, and the cheapest bottle IDR 620k. For two people with two spreads, three skewers, a side and two cocktails, expect about IDR 900k on the menu. Chope puts it at IDR 250-400k per person, rated 4.5 from 41 reviews.

Who it suits less

Not an option if you need halal food: the menu includes pork and the restaurant says it is not halal-certified. Families with toddlers should know there are no high chairs (a kids menu is available on request) and no private dining room. Scooter parking is across the road; cars use valet.

The opening hours are not consistent either. The FAQ on the official site says 12pm-10pm daily, the same site's homepage adds a Thursday-Saturday late-night session from 9pm to 2am, and Chope lists 12pm-midnight. If you plan to arrive after 10pm, confirm on WhatsApp first.

Estia or AVLI?

Bali now has two modern Greek restaurants that people compare. AVLI in Uluwatu is more casual with cheap pita; Estia leans harder into the wood grill and the wine list, and its central Seminyak location is easier for dinner. A note for anyone bringing their own bottle: Estia allows outside wine with a corkage fee of IDR 250k per bottle, but no spirits.
