Bloom After Dark Sanur: An Alcohol-Free Vinyl Bar, Thu-Sat

Sanur has a new night bar that serves no alcohol at all. Bloom After Dark at Jl. Danau Toba No. 12 opens Thursday to Saturday from 7pm to midnight, with vinyl DJs and a mocktail menu. According to its official website it has been running since January 2026 with a grand opening planned for April, and Honeycombers listed it as "new in 2026" in its June 2026 guide to Sanur bars.

What changed on Jl. Danau Toba

Bloom After Dark is not a new building. By day the room is BloomWerk, the co-working space of Café Bloom next to The Bali Florist. After sunset it becomes a vinyl listening lounge run with Westside MuzeeQ, the DJ collective behind the Bali Vinyl Movement since 2001. Expect soul, funk, jazz, R&B, hits from the 60s to the 90s, and house. The owners say the idea came when roadworks on Sanur's footpaths left their street quiet.

The walls are lined with records, tables have turntables and headphones for private listening, and there is a retro Nintendo and board games. Honeycombers describes it as a small, family-friendly bar.

Before you go

• Cashless only: pay by QRIS, debit or credit card.
• Parking: since Sanur's footpath works finished in December 2025, roadside parking on this street is not allowed; there is public parking on Jl. Wira, about 200 metres away.
• Prices: mocktail prices are not published on the website or in reviews as of October 2026, so check the menu at the counter.
• Downsides: the indoor room is small, it opens only three nights a week and closes at midnight. Do not expect a club atmosphere.

With no alcohol on the menu, it is one of the few night spots in Sanur that works if you are driving yourself. The Honeycombers writer found it after dinner at Sindhu Night Market, a sensible order for a Friday night.
