Entry to Grudugan Waterfall in Jehem village, Tembuku, Bangli, costs around Rp20,000-25,000 per person according to detikBali (November 2025). To reach the main fall, roughly 12 metres high, you pass through a small tunnel and a natural cave. The official Jehem tourism village website lists Grudugan as one of the village's three waterfalls, alongside Goa Rajo and Yeh Bulan (checked October 2026).
Where exactly is it?
In the Pondokan Panglan area of Jehem village, Tembuku district, Bangli. Parking is run by locals. It is in the same village as Goa Raja Waterfall and Yeh Bulan, but at a different spot, so make sure the signs you follow say Grudugan.
How long from Ubud or Denpasar?
detikBali logged about 90 minutes by scooter from Denpasar to Yeh Bulan in the same village, so expect a similar time. From Ubud via Bangli, our estimate is 45-60 minutes depending on traffic on the Gianyar road.
How hard is the trail?
From the car park the path goes downhill over rocky ground. The first fall, about 15 metres, comes after a somewhat tricky rocky cliff section. The main fall sits about 100 metres from the site entrance, past the tunnel and cave. It is short, but the rocks are slippery. Flip-flops are a bad idea; wear shoes or strapped hiking sandals.
What will you see?
Two waterfalls between two tall rock walls, with sunlight filtering through the trees. The classic photo is standing in the gap between the cliffs with the fall behind you.
Can you bathe or do a melukat?
Locals use the water for purification rituals. If a ceremony is under way, give people space and do not photograph up close. For a dip, ask the parking attendant or ticket desk first.
What are the downsides?
- Facilities are limited to parking and toilets, still being built up step by step.
- There is no official price page; the figure above is from 2025 coverage, so bring extra cash.
- In the rainy season the rocks and cave get slippery. Not ideal for older visitors or small children without close supervision.
