South+East Brewing Co. on Jl. Pengubengan Kauh in Kerobokan Kelod is open daily from 12pm to midnight and says it has 24 craft beer taps, the most in Indonesia by its own claim (Chope data, checked October 2026). It is a taproom, not a big brewery: most of the beer it pours is made in collaboration with local Indonesian breweries.
How much will you spend?
Chope puts it at IDR 100,000-250,000 per person for food and drinks. Per-glass prices are not published online and depend on which guest beers are on tap, so check the board at the bar. At OKTOBEERFEST Vol.4 on 9-10 October 2026, entry was free, with tokens at IDR 250,000 for 4 glasses, IDR 500,000 for 10 and a 12-hour free flow for IDR 1,000,000 (NOW! Bali). Those are event prices, not everyday prices.
Is there live music?
Yes, on event nights. This year's Oktobeerfest featured Bali bands The Hydrant and Unbrocken plus DJs, with six guest breweries: IoI, Island Brewing, Black Sand, Kult, Beaches Brewing Co. and Kura Kura. On regular nights there is no fixed published band schedule, so check Instagram before going.
Can you bring kids or a dog?
Chope lists it as kid-friendly and pet-friendly, with rice field views. It is a relaxed taproom, not a club: no entry fee and no written dress code. Alcohol is still for 21+ only.
What are the downsides?
It sits on a Kerobokan back road, away from the Petitenget or Canggu strips, and Jl. Pengubengan Kauh is narrow for large cars. Online information is thin too: the official website still shows "under construction" and Chope has only a handful of reviews, so Instagram is the most accurate source for hours and events. If you prefer cocktails, the choice here is limited because the focus is beer.
Do you need to book?
Chope takes reservations for small groups; for more than 10 people, Chope asks you to contact the venue directly. During festivals, arrive early because entry is free and open to the public.

Craft beer is often stronger than standard lager, so count your glasses if you came by scooter and read up on Bali drink-driving limits first. For a bigger beer garden with open rice fields, compare it with Black Sand Brewery in Canggu, one of the guest breweries at the festival.
