Nasi Ayam Dong Siprig, Singapadu: Price, Hours, Sell-Out Time

Nasi Ayam Dong Siprig opens at 5am WITA and is usually sold out between 10 and 11am. A plate costs Rp10,000, Rp15,000 or Rp20,000 according to a detikBali report from March 2025, the most recent source we could find when we checked in October 2026. The stall is attached to the family home in Banjar Abasan, Singapadu Tengah, Sukawati, about 20 minutes south of central Ubud.

What's on the Plate

There is one dish: nasi ayam. No pork, no lawar. A plate comes with:

• white rice and shredded chicken in Balinese spices, plus chicken liver
• a boiled egg, sweet-spicy tempeh (tempe orek) and a little fried noodle
• chicken crackers for crunch

When to Arrive So You Don't Miss Out

Dong Siprig is the nickname of Nyoman Siprig, now around 67, who has been selling here for about four decades. Cooking starts around 1am and the stall opens at 5am, with her children and daughter-in-law helping out.

The queue peaks around 5am and again around 9am, and Sundays are busier than weekdays. Coming from Ubud, leaving before 8am is the safe bet. Turn up after 10am and you may well find the pots empty.

The Downsides

The space is small, seating is limited and many people take their food away. A long-time customer quoted by detikBali said the plate needs more vegetables and feels a bit dry; if you like your nasi campur loaded with urap, look elsewhere. The prices above date from March 2025, so bring a little extra.

If 5am feels too early for breakfast, compare it with Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Ibu Mangku on the west side of Ubud, which keeps later hours. Singapadu is also on the way to Bali Bird Park, so chicken rice at 7am followed by the bird park at opening time fits easily into one morning.
