Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran: Who Is It For, and What Falls Short?

Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran suits guests who want a room opening straight onto a saltwater lagoon pool, a short ride from the airport, and who don't mind that the hotel isn't on the beach. Opened in 2012 on Jl. Bukit Permai, Jimbaran, it has around 117-118 rooms (sources differ) set around a lagoon that travel agent TravelOnline puts at about 1,300 m².

• Couples and small families who want to step from the balcony into the pool: Lagoon Access rooms and the Aqua Studio Suite open directly onto the lagoon.
• Families with children: there's a separate kids' pool and an in-water bar at the end of the lagoon, according to a Milesopedia review.
• Guests with tight flight times: Milesopedia says it's less than 30 minutes from the airport.
• Grilled seafood fans: the hotel shares the area with Jimbaran's beach cafés and Kedonganan Fish Market.

Less suited to

• Anyone who wants to walk from the room onto the sand. This isn't a beachfront hotel; the nearest beach reviewers mention is Pantai Muaya.
• Guests sensitive to smells. Trip.com reviews from August 2026 mention a musty smell in rooms (one case fixed quickly by staff) and an untidy garden.
• Anyone after fresh design. A September 2026 review found the facilities and interiors dated.
• Those relying on breakfast. An October 2026 review called the choice limited; Milesopedia's 2024 review noted breakfast at IDR 200,000 per person when not included.

Which room to choose?

The main difference is the position relative to the lagoon. Deluxe King or Deluxe Two Double "Lagoon view" rooms only look over the pool. Lagoon Access rooms and the Aqua Studio Suite open straight onto the water, handy for families who want kids swimming without a walk; some types have two double beds. The Avant-Garde 1 Bedroom Suite adds a separate living space for longer stays. Trip.com lists more than 15 room types, so compare photos per type. According to Milesopedia, the Aqua Studio Suite can't be booked with Marriott Bonvoy points.

Nightly price range

Kayak's page for the hotel (checked October 2026) shows sample rates of roughly US$105-175 per night before tax, depending on dates and room type, while Trip.com shows an average starting price of AUD 350.
