Tirta Buana Waterfall in Pegadungan village, Sukasada, is one of the easiest falls to reach in Buleleng: just 200-300 metres down a footpath from the car park, and about 30 minutes by motorbike from Singaraja. From 2026 the Buleleng tourism office has added it to 15 new official attractions (DTW) whose tickets are paid by QRIS (Koran Buleleng, 10 December 2025).
What you get
A strong flow drops straight into a natural pool. There are two fairly large pools of clear spring water seeping from the rocks, and swimming is allowed (detikBali). The site used to be the village's turbine power plant. After the grid arrived in 2017, villagers landscaped it and opened it to visitors in 2019. The tourism office describes it as a high-traffic site that had not been charging the official levy.
The downsides
- The trail has been tidied but is not paved. The descent is gentle but slippery after rain, and the 2026 rainy season is forecast to start in November.
- Official information is thin. The Visit North Bali portal gives the location as Pegadungan but lists the Silangjana village tourism group as manager, while detikBali names the Bumi Lestari group of Pegadungan. Opening hours are not published.
- We have not found confirmation that QRIS payment is already running at the gate, so bring some cash too.
Tickets, hours, location
- Buleleng waterfall fee for 2026: Rp45,000 foreign visitors, Rp15,000-20,000 domestic visitors, paid by QRIS (Buleleng tourism office). The old 2021-2023 rate was Rp15,000 local and Rp65,000 foreign. Checked October 2026.
- Hours: not published; go between morning and late afternoon.
- Location: View on Google Maps. The village road is fine for cars.
- Latest conditions: search on Instagram.
In the same part of Sukasada are Colek Pamor Waterfall in Gitgit and Jembong Waterfall in Ambengan, which is also on the 2026 paid-attraction list.
