Registration for Ubud Running Festival 2026 closes on Saturday, 31 October 2026, and the organisers state it plainly on the official site: no race-day sign-ups. The races take place over two days, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026, starting and finishing at Central Parking Monkey Forest Ubud in Padangtegal.
The event grew out of Ubud Run Day and is now a festival of running, wellness and culture. It is organised by the Ubud Hotel Association and PHRI Gianyar, together with Yayasan Bina Wisata Ubud, Desa Adat Padangtegal and LPM Ubud. The slogan is #RunForHOPE, with a promise of courses through Ubud's rice fields and forest.
Schedule by day and entry fees
- Saturday, 21 November: 21K Cross Country IDR 650,000, Squad Race (one ticket for 3 runners) IDR 700,000, Kids Sprint 100 m (ages 3-5) and 200 m (ages 6-8) IDR 250,000 each.
- Sunday, 22 November: 5K IDR 320,000 and 10K IDR 390,000.
- Race kit: event jersey, finisher medal, RFID-chip bib and finish-line refreshments. 21K runners also get a finisher jersey; 5K and 10K runners enter a door-prize draw.
- Bib collection: Wednesday 18 and Friday 20 November; venue still to be announced.
Prices checked October 2026 on the official ticket page (roughly US$15-43). Each category has a limited quota, so the kids and squad entries may sell out first.
Race-day plan
A start at Monkey Forest's central car park means Jalan Monkey Forest and nearby streets will be jammed from dawn. The simplest approach is to stay within walking distance in Padangtegal or Nyuh Kuning and arrive on foot. If you race on Saturday and cheer for family on Sunday, two nights in Ubud make far more sense than shuttling from Kuta, and you can browse Ubud hotel vouchers on AccessiaPass.
If you have time after the race, the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary sits right next to the start area and appears in many runners' photos.
Things to watch
- The 21K is cross country, not smooth tarmac. Runners chasing a road personal best should pick Sunday's 10K.
- Start times were not yet listed on the site in early October 2026; follow the official Instagram as bib collection approaches.
- November is the start of Bali's rainy season. Wear shoes with good grip and pack a dry shirt.
- There is no on-site registration, so friends who decide at the last minute cannot join on the day.
