Shambala Open Air Festival Sidemen, 21 November 2026: Day Plan

Shambala Open Air Festival runs on Saturday, 21 November 2026 at Natya River Sidemen in Karangasem and goes all night until 11am on Sunday, 22 November. The cheapest ticket on Megatix right now is Rp450,000 (Super Early Bird, service fee included); at the door it is Rp1,000,000.

The organiser is Shambaladance. The line-up lists Aleceo, described on Megatix as the creator of Shambala and Pangaea Festival in Bali since 2017, plus Hoda Fadel, Fusionista, Rasta, Savaborsa, Talaanov and Gwendolynn. Expect organic house, downtempo and slow electronic sets rather than big-stage EDM.

Day plan

• 11:30-12:30, leave. Rough travel times to Sidemen: about 2-2.5 hours from Canggu or Seminyak, 1-1.5 hours from Ubud, around 1.5 hours from Sanur. Check Google Maps on the day; Saturday midday traffic is often heavy.
• 14:00, doors open. The event description says doors open at 2pm and asks guests to arrive early, while the start time field on Megatix shows 3pm. Plan around 2pm.
• 15:00-17:30, settle in. Booked tents are set up on arrival. Use this window to eat at Natya Cafe and see the valley before dark.
• 18:30, cacao ceremony. The organisers open the night with a cacao ceremony and ask guests to be there beforehand.
• Night to morning. A giant bonfire, fire show, tea temple and DJs in rotation. The hourly schedule has not been released ("schedule TBA soon").
• Sunday morning to 11:00. Sunrise over the valley, then close. Sleep before driving back; Sidemen roads are narrow and winding.

• Super Early Bird Rp450,000; door ticket Rp1,000,000.
• Tent (max 2 adults, mattress, cover, two pillows, two towels) Rp400,000.
• Super Cabin Rp1,500,000 and Deluxe Cabin Rp1,600,000 (max 2 adults, breakfast included, festival ticket not included).
• Children under 12 free; event rating 6+.

If a tent is not your thing and Natya's cabins are gone, you can find another room in the Sidemen Valley with an AccessiaPass hotel voucher and head back to the venue before the 6:30pm ceremony.

Before you go

• The event is alcohol-free. Fresh juices, young coconuts and Natya Cafe food are available at extra cost.
• Phones are allowed, but the organisers ask you to use them as little as possible.
• Bring a light jacket and mosquito repellent for a night by the river.
• Parking details have not been published. Ask via the WhatsApp contact on the Megatix page, or hire a car with a driver so nobody drives home tired.
• Sidemen is a village and rice-field area. Outside the venue, dress modestly and keep the noise down, especially at warungs or near temples.

The downsides: the door price is more than double the Super Early Bird, set times are not out yet, and there is no alcohol, so this is a poor fit if you want a beach-club party. Status as of 24 October 2026: tickets went on sale on 24 October and no category has sold out.

Frequently asked questions

Does the ticket include a tent? The Rp400,000 tent is sold as a separate item on Megatix, and cabins clearly exclude the festival ticket. Treat the ticket as entry only.

Can I bring children? Yes. The organisers call it family friendly, and children under 12 get in free.

Is this the same as Pangaea Festival? Same founder (Aleceo), different event. Pangaea took place in Ubud on 24 October 2026.
