Panorama Point charges no entry and is about 5 minutes by scooter from Jungutbatu Beach. The viewpoint sits beside the climbing road between Jungutbatu and Mushroom Bay, looking over the bay, the moored boats and, on clear days, Mount Agung across the strait. Here is a realistic half-day timeline, checked September 2026.
08:00: Fast boat from Sanur
The Sanur to Jungutbatu crossing takes about 30 minutes, and one-way tickets usually cost Rp100,000-250,000 depending on operator and season. Many boats land straight onto the beach, so wear sandals and expect wet feet.
08:45: Pay the levy and rent a scooter
Since 1 September 2026, foreign visitors pay a Lembongan-Ceningan area levy of Rp25,000 per adult and Rp15,000 per child under Klungkung Regulation 4/2026. Some fast boat operators include it in the fare, so keep the receipt. Payment details are in our Nusa Penida entry levy 2026 article.
Scooter rental in Jungutbatu runs about Rp70,000-100,000 a day. Golf buggies for families cost far more, often several hundred thousand for a few hours.
09:15: Ride up to Panorama Point
From the beach, follow the main road uphill towards Mushroom Bay. Park on the roadside or in front of the restaurant at the lookout, free of charge. You see the red roofs of Jungutbatu, boats in the bay, seaweed farming plots and mainland Bali. Mount Agung only shows when the sky is clear, and even mornings are often cloudy.
To be honest, this is a stop, not a destination. Bushes and trees partly block the view, and 15 minutes is plenty. There is no proper safety railing, so watch small children near the road.
09:45: On to Lembongan village and the Yellow Bridge
Keep going to Lembongan village and then the Yellow Bridge to Nusa Ceningan, about 15-20 minutes. If you stop at Devil's Tear, have the Rp25,000 per adult site levy ready; it is one of the first sites under the One Gate One Destination system.
12:00: Lunch, or come back later
If you are staying over, return to Panorama Point near dusk. After sunset the village and boat lights come on below, and Jungutbatu Beach is only 5 minutes down the hill. A night in Jungutbatu makes this route far more relaxed, and you can check island hotel vouchers on AccessiaPass before you sail.
