In Jimbaran, eating seafood on the sand usually means the row of tented warungs on Muaya Beach. KISIK Seafood & Grill offers another version of the same ritual: tables set on sand and rock at the foot of the cliff at AYANA Resort Bali, directly below Rock Bar, with the Indian Ocean a few metres from your feet. The outlet is still operating in 2026 under the official name KISIK Seafood & Grill.
How Ordering Works: Pick It, Then Weigh It
The system is a tidied-up fish market. You choose straight from the ice display at the entrance, set the weight, then pick how it is cooked.
- Usually available: lobster, large prawns, barramundi, red snapper, squid, clams and mud crab.
- Sauce options: garlic butter, Balinese spice, sweet and sour, black pepper, or plain steamed.
- Fixed menu items: lobster with your choice of sauce, grilled sea bream, and a set called KISIK Harmony.
Prices: The Honest Gap Versus Muaya Warungs
- At KISIK, a meal starts around Rp300,000 per person for a simple order and climbs fast once lobster enters the basket. Add 21 percent tax and service.
- At the Muaya warungs, seafood is generally around Rp110,000–275,000 per kilogram depending on type, and lobster can run Rp800,000–1,500,000 per kilogram.
- In other words, KISIK is not expensive because the fish is a different class. You are paying for private sand, resort service and a sunset stage without touts offering tables.
Best Timing, Dress Code and Access for Outside Guests
- Arrive at 17.30 for a front-row table; sunset in Jimbaran falls around 18.00–18.30 depending on season.
- Dress code is smart casual — skip singlets and wet beachwear.
- Non-staying guests are allowed in through AYANA's main gate, then down to beach level by inclinator.
- No officially published minimum spend for KISIK; the venue with a minimum of about Rp350,000 per person is Rock Bar next door. KISIK Lounge is a separate bar set into the cliff wall.
- Weather: in strong wind and swell, service on the sand can close without notice, so reconfirm on the day.
