Jaansan Nusa Dua: Duck Betutu, Seafood Basket and What It Costs

Half a fried or betutu duck at Jaansan Bali Restaurant costs IDR 150,000, served with rice, vegetables and sambal, according to the menu on its official site (checked October 2026). The Balinese owner-managed restaurant sits at Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai No. 96-B, Mumbul, on the road between Jimbaran and Nusa Dua, and opens daily 12:00-22:00 (last order 21:30).

What to order

• Duck: fried/grilled duck or bebek betutu, IDR 150k for half a duck. The site's homepage also shows a quarter duck at IDR 70k.
• Chicken: quarter ayam betutu or grilled chicken IDR 55k, ayam taliwang and ayam bukakak IDR 95k.
• Seafood: grilled snapper or grouper 500 g IDR 200k, grilled squid 800 g IDR 250k, jumbo prawns 500 g IDR 350k.
• For groups: Seafood Basket IDR 400k without lobster or IDR 700k with a 350 g lobster; the Bokor package for two is IDR 1.25 million.
• Balinese starters: lawar IDR 75k, rujak Bali IDR 60k, sup languan IDR 70k.

What it adds up to

All prices exclude 10% tax and 6% service. For two people sharing a bebek betutu and an ayam taliwang, expect about IDR 285k after tax (around US$17), drinks not included. That is far lighter than a seafood dinner on the sand in Jimbaran.

The downsides

• It sits on the busy bypass, not on the beach. Don't expect a sea view or sunset.
• The pizza and Thai sections of the online menu are marked "currently unavailable", so not everything listed can be ordered.
• Independent reviews outside the official site are still few compared with Jimbaran's better-known seafood places, so consistency is hard to judge from the outside.
• Pork-free, but according to its site not halal-certified.

If you want seafood with your feet in the sand, Bawang Merah on Kelan Beach fits better. For a cheap warung meal in Nusa Dua, try Warung Nasi Ayam Bu Oki.
