Fiji Waterfall Lemukih: The Quiet Alternative Next Door to Sekumpul

In Lemukih village, Sawan district, Buleleng, three streams of water drop side by side from a green cliff around 20–35 metres high. Locals call it Air Terjun Fiji, or the Triple Waterfall, and travellers often nickname it the twin falls of Lemukih because the flows sit shoulder to shoulder. The valley connects to Sekumpul, but Fiji has its own character: a longer trail, few warungs, and pools that are frequently empty of tour groups in the morning.

How it differs from Sekumpul

  • Sekumpul is the tall curtain every tour bus aims for; Fiji is three cascades in the neighbouring valley and far calmer.
  • From the Lemukih village post both can be reached on a single trek; local guides offer a combined Sekumpul–Hidden–Fiji package for around IDR 200,000 per person.
  • Want it easy? Take the Fiji route only and save your legs for the climb back.

Trail, timing and what to bring

  • About 1.5 km of footpath plus hundreds of concrete steps, with some very steep sections.
  • Roughly 30–45 minutes down and longer coming back up; ojek rides between parking areas cost about IDR 20,000 one way.
  • Bring grippy footwear, drinking water, a change of clothes and your own rubbish bag.

Best time, access and the rainy season

  • 08:00–11:00 is the sweet spot, with clean light before the midday mist rolls in.
  • Around 45–60 minutes from Singaraja via Sawan, 2–2.5 hours from Ubud via Bedugul–Wanagiri, and 2.5–3 hours from Denpasar or the airport.
  • In the rainy season (November–March) rocks turn slick and the flow rises fast; skip the descent if the water runs brown or it is pouring upstream.

Because the climb back drains you, many walkers sleep a night in Singaraja or Lovina before dropping into Lemukih — check AccessiaPass hotel vouchers to keep North Bali room rates down.
