The Barn Canggu Review: British Pub Food, Sport and the Bill

The Barn is a London-style pub on the cut-through road between Jl. Batu Bolong and Jl. Nelayan in Canggu, open since 2021. Chesterfield sofas, a fireplace, seven air-conditioned HD screens for Premier League, UFC, NRL, AFL and F1. It is not a party bar; it is a pub for a big meal while the game is on.

What to order

The menu on the official site (checked October 2026) is pub food first: Fish & Chips IDR 125,000 (curry sauce IDR 15,000 extra), Bangers & Mash IDR 110,000, pie of the day IDR 125,000, The Barn Smash Burger IDR 150,000, 200 g Steak & Chips IDR 299,000. Bar snacks include a scotch egg at IDR 65,000 and sausage rolls at IDR 60,000. The Full English Breakfast at IDR 125,000 is served all day, with free tea or coffee from 9am to noon according to their September 2026 blog post. The Sunday Roast is the signature, served from midday until the kitchen closes, but its price is not on the online menu.

What it costs

Two people having fish and chips and a smash burger: IDR 275,000 for food alone. Beer and cocktail prices are not published on the site; they only mention draught Guinness being available since early 2025. When to go

Online sources disagree. The Chope listing says Tuesday-Thursday 5pm-11pm and Friday-Sunday 12pm-12am, while the official site advertises breakfast from the morning. Check Instagram before you go, especially on a Monday. For the liveliest atmosphere, pick a big match night or a Sunday afternoon roast. Live music is mentioned on the homepage, but no schedule is listed.

Verdict

Strong for families and groups: a billiards room, what they claim is Bali's only shuffleboard, a French foosball table, all free to use, plus a kids' menu. Weak if you want creative cocktails or a club atmosphere, and drink pricing is not transparent.
