Haidilao Bali at Living World Denpasar: Prices, Queues, Halal?

Haidilao Bali is on the LG (lower ground) floor of Living World Denpasar mall, Jl. Gatot Subroto Timur, Tonja, North Denpasar. The Chinese hotpot chain held its soft opening on Monday 31 August 2026 and has been fully operating since September. It is the first Haidilao in Bali.

Where exactly is Haidilao Bali?

On the LG floor of Living World Denpasar, a seven-storey mall that opened in March 2023. From Seminyak or Canggu the drive can take 30-60 minutes depending on traffic on Jalan Gatot Subroto. Sanur and Renon are closer. Parking follows mall rates.

When did it open, and what are the hours?

The chair of Denpasar's TP PKK cut the ribbon on 31 August 2026, with mall management and representatives of the Chinese Consulate General present. Official hours for the Bali branch have not been published consistently; one directory lists 10am-2am, but that is unconfirmed. Check the latest posts on Instagram @haidilaobali before a late visit.

How much per person?

The Bali price list has not been released on official channels. As a benchmark, at Jakarta branches diners usually spend IDR 150,000-300,000 per person (about USD 9-18), and promotional sets for two there run about IDR 180,000-260,000. Ordering is per item: choose a broth pot (two or three flavours can share one pot), then meat, vegetables and extras by portion, including half portions. For two people, a small two-flavour pot is usually enough. Bali prices may differ, so photograph the menu before ordering a lot.

Do you need to queue or book?

As Bali's only Haidilao, still in its first months, weekend dinner hours are likely to have queues. Weekday afternoons from 3pm to 5pm are the safest bet. Ask by Instagram DM whether the Bali branch takes table reservations.

Is Haidilao halal?

It cannot be confirmed as halal. Online sources contradict each other, and Haidilao Group itself launched Sizzling Hotspot at Supermal Karawaci as its first halal brand in Indonesia, which suggests regular Haidilao branches are not halal-certified. A "no pork, no lard" label is not the same as certification. Search the branch on the BPJPH (Indonesia's halal agency) website or ask staff to show a certificate. For clearly halal options, see our halal food guide to Bali or Warung Nikmat in Kuta.

Is there a noodle show?

At the opening, Haidilao Bali staged Bian Lian (Sichuan face-changing) and a children's dance. Haidilao's "noodle dance" is normally ordered as a noodle dish, and a staff member stretches the dough beside your table. Ask whether it is on the Bali menu yet.

Who is it not for?

Visitors staying in Canggu or Uluwatu with only one free evening: it is a long ride for a menu found in many other big cities. Also anyone looking for Balinese food; Denpasar has plenty of long-running warungs at a fraction of the price.
