An espresso, americano or cappuccino at Batu Karu Kopi in Jatiluwih costs Rp25,000-40,000, and the signature blends about Rp45,000 (Bali Holiday Secrets, updated December 2025; checked October 2026). The arabica is said to come from the cafe's own farm about 2 km away.

Why people stop here

The cafe sits on Jl. Batu Luwih Kawan, about 1.5 km before the main lookout over the Jatiluwih rice terraces, with windows facing the terraces. Google reviews (4.6 from roughly 800 ratings, latest review August 2026 per Restaurant Guru) often mention the coffee ginger cooler, banana fritters, almond croissant and cinnamon roll.

The downsides

• The food menu is limited, mostly pastries and light bites, and some items sell out.
• The room is open-air with no air conditioning and gets warm towards midday. Window seats go fast at lunchtime.
• The road to Jatiluwih is steep and winding with no public transport. Not great for first-time scooter riders.
• We found no halal certification; it is a coffee-and-pastry menu, so ask directly if you need certainty.
