Babi Guling Pan Ana Denpasar: Prices, Kulit Sultan, Busy Hours

A plate of babi guling nasi campur at Babi Guling Pan Ana, Jl. Nusa Kambangan Gg. 33, West Denpasar, starts at about Rp20,000-25,000 (INSTIKI March 2026 and IDN Times July 2025; checked October 2026). detikBali reported in May 2024 that this lane-side warung once went through up to 12 pigs a day, and as of September 2026 Restaurant Guru shows more than 4,200 Google reviews averaging 4.2.

What to order

The usual order is nasi campur babi guling: roast pork, lawar, sate lilit and kuah balung bone broth. Other dishes the media mention are kikil nyat-nyat and kuah balung ares. What draws people specifically is the "kulit sultan", an oversized slab of crackling. It must be pre-ordered at least a day ahead, so don't expect to buy it on the spot.

How much you'll spend

A standard plate is Rp20,000-25,000. Restaurant Guru estimates Rp25,000-50,000 per person if you add kikil, soup or drinks. For Denpasar that is still warung pricing, not tourist restaurant pricing.

When to go

IDN Times (2025) and INSTIKI (2026) list 09:00-22:00. detikBali in 2024 said 09:00-21:30 or until sold out. Lunchtime is busiest. Come late morning if you want the full range of cuts, and don't wait until evening if you're after the crackling.

Honest verdict

• Not halal. Every main dish is pork.
• It is down a narrow lane and easy to miss on a first visit.
• It gets crowded at lunch, so allow time to queue.
• The jumbo crackling needs a pre-order, no walk-ins.

For comparison, Babi Guling Candra on Teuku Umar stays open late on a main road, while Babi Guling Melinggih uses local black pigs.
