A plate of ayam betutu at Ayam Betutu Bu Ferdi costs Rp15,000-25,000, and a whole bird Rp110,000-150,000, according to detikBali coverage from September 2026. Open since 2011, it is one of the few betutu warungs in Denpasar with MUI halal certification, and its Buana Kubu branch has about 500 reviews on Google Maps.

Before you go

• It is a daytime warung, not a dinner spot. detikBali lists hours of 7am-5pm daily. Google Maps for the Buana Kubu branch (checked October 2026) shows 7:30am-5:30pm on weekdays and until 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. If you land in the late afternoon, it will probably be closed.
• Pick the nearest branch. There are three: Jl. Buana Kubu No. 62 and 64 (Tegal Harum, West Denpasar), Jl. Gunung Cemara No. 16, and Jl. Tukad Irawadi No. 19. The Maps hours checked here are for Buana Kubu only.
• The lawar is a halal version. It is made from seasoned minced coconut rather than pork or blood, which suits you if you or your group eat halal.
• Plate versus whole bird. Rp15-25k is for a plate of rice with betutu chicken. A whole bird is Rp110-150k, enough for three or four people or to take away.
• The data is thin. The prices and hours above come from one news article and one Google Maps listing that differ by half an hour. There is no official website with a menu, so call or check GoFood/GrabFood before making a long trip.

How it compares with other betutu in Denpasar

If you need halal betutu for dinner, Ayam Betutu Ibu Nia in Renon stays open until 10pm, with betutu rice plates around Rp28-46k. Bu Ferdi is cheaper per plate but only works at lunchtime. For a taste comparison, set it against the fiery Gilimanuk style made famous by Men Tempeh.
